The fire is at its peak, a yellow glow at night from Currowan Misty Mountain before the orange flow that turned the day into night at 10.30am. There was no blue sky for weeks, only yellow, orannge, white and grey. Each piece was created by using acrylic pour mediums onto canvas. The artwork was created in 2022 after the Batemans Bay 2019/2020 horrific fires. It was a once in a lifetime experience to see. So much danger wrapped up in an aftermath of ‘Mother Nature’s cleansing’ then beautiful renewal of a desolate countryside. The Fire Series artworks are ‘eternally burnt into my life’s memory’.
