For inVISIBLE, Boomalli creates a culturally safe space for Artists and community members to voice their ideas, express their perspectives and exchange personal stories around dealing with mental health, suicide and healing.
inVISIBLE gives an insight into the heart breaking and personal stories of Darcy (RIP), Melissa (RIP), Baylin (RIP) and Rininya’s (RIP) journeys. Their families share experiences of the grief, hurt and healing that continues in their day to day lives.
The need for better access to services with a holistic approach is crucial for individuals, families and community members who are dealing with suicide. Art as a traditional Aboriginal therapy is vital in gaining a better understanding and awareness around suicide.
