Nioka Lowe is a Dunghutti / Biripi artist and curator based in Sydney, working across painting, illustration, mixed media, animation, public art, workshops, and community-led creative projects.

Raised in a creative household with an artist mother and musician father, Nioka developed an early connection to visual storytelling and creative expression. After beginning her career at Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative, she expanded her practice across multiple mediums, developing a body of work grounded in culture, connection, and contemporary Aboriginal identity. Her practice often centres figurative imagery featuring women and children alongside native plants and animals exploring themes of family, memory, care, identity, and community. Alongside her studio practice, Nioka facilitates workshops in painting, drawing and craft.
