Rubyrose Bancroft

Rubyrose Bancroft is a Bundjalung woman from North Coast. Rubyrose completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in 2020. Her final work “The 7 Deadly Sins” was acquired for the NAS Collection. Rubyrose is a multidisciplinary artist who operates across many mediums such as painting, ceramics and claymation.

Rubyrose was recently featured in Vogue Australia’s August 2025 edition and Art Collector with her works being shown at Darwin Aboriginal art fair

Rubyrose was invited to participate in the Fantastic Forms exhibition at Bundanon art museum and touring until 2028

Rubyrose has been exhibiting with Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative since becoming a member in 2017 has participated in the following external exhibitions including BOOMALLI NOW (Hobiennale 2019), MCA Art Bar, NO SHOW (Carriageworks, Sydney), MOTHER/DAUGHTER, Galerie IDAIA, and (Passage du Grand Cerf, Paris)

Rubyrose was involved in a project with the NRMA which saw her artwork Ripple Effect II featured on a billboard acknowledging Bundjalung Country.

Rubyrose presented a live art installation for Amnesty International’s Dadirri exhibition in 2018.

Rubyrose has been commissioned to produce unique artwork designs by Australian Indigenous Mentoring experience (AIME) and Budgy Smuggler swimwear.
