This image was taken during my nephew’s first visit to Mungo on a school trip. He told me a lot about his first trip and is very proud of his heritage as a young Barkindji man. I was blown away. I have visited Mungo many times and he took a photograph of one of the best sunset images I have seen of Mungo and credit to my nephew. Over the years I have painted canvases of Mungo and thought this image needed to be painted. Nothing like seeing country on canvas. Credit to Kevin.
